Nutrient Film Technique (NFT)
A hydroponic technique where plants grow in a very shallow stream of water containing all the dissolved nutrients.
Deep Water Culture (DWC)
A technique where plants grow in a well-oxygenated solution composed of water and nutrients. In this method, the plant’s roots are submerged in the solution, allowing for rapid and healthy growth.
Aquaponics
is a system of aquaculture in which the waste produced by farmed fish or other aquatic creatures supplies the nutrients for plants grown hydroponically, which in turn purify the water. It mimics a natural ecosystem by integrating water, aquatic life, bacteria, nutrient dynamics, and plants that grow together in waterways around the world.
